April 6 Jen Malnar- Thinking Positive!
May 4 2 Year Anniversary of IVTBI !

Department of Rehabilitation Services Susanne Whitney helped explain how DRS/DHS can help families meet basic needs through the programs they offer. The main focus of all assisted programs is getting people independent, with meaningful jobs. They assist people with disabilities in preparing for, finding and maintaining quality employment that pays a living wage. Their agency works with local employers, finding jobs for individualized employment. DHS realizes that some folks may not return to work. For these individuals, The Home Service Program may provide financial assistance for a home personnel aid if applicants qualify. This information and more can be found at their website: www.dhs.state.il.us.

Well football fans, Super Bowl XLIV is in the books. I thought that it was kind of an upset. Both Indianapolis and New Orleans played pretty good defensively. I thought it would be a higher scoring game than it actually was. Peyton Manning might have cost Indianapolis the game. If he wouldn't have thrown that interception on New Orleans 33 or 30 yard line, maybe Indianapolis could have tied it up. My dad said when the New Orleans guy made that interception, he was going to run it all the way back.

I thought the commercials were rather boring. That one with David Letterman, Jay Leno, and Oprah was kind of funny. Jay Leno works for NBC. The Super Bowl was on CBS. That's an opposing network. After the halftime show, I said to my dad, that was BORING. Those guys in The Who, are kind of old. The lead singer had to be in his 40's or 50's. The Super Bowl is watched by millions of people. People like seeing younger people perform. I know I do.
